About me

My name is Mackenzie Chatterley. I’m a counselor, a teacher, and someone who believes deeply in the power of connection and change. My work is centered around helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges, whether that means managing anxiety, grief, working through trauma, behavior issues, or making sense of identity and relationships.

My background in education has helped me hone my ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds, foster growth, and adapt to unique learning styles. These insights now guide the way I support clients on their personal journeys.

No collection of words will ever fully capture a person—and that includes me. The best way to know if we’re a good fit is to connect. So, if you’re curious, reach out. I’d love to talk.

My Approach

If you’re wondering about my approach, I am a person-centered therapist and integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and attachment theory to create a personalized approach that meets your unique needs. With couples, I utilize Gottman Methods and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT). In our work together, I aim to help you uncover and address the roots of guilt and shame that may be holding you back, empowering you to embrace self-compassion and healing. I have a passion for working with anxiety, postpartum anxiety and depression, teens and families.

But at the heart of it all, my focus is on you—who you are, where you’ve been, and who you’re becoming. Therapy is a space to explore, question, and grow, and my goal is to provide a place where you can do just that.
